Chinese Diagnostic Illustrations, Part TwoThis video follows from my previous one entitled, Chinese diagnosis A Practical Road Map. In case you forget, the requirements of diagnosis are: objectivity, rationality, and connection to the herbs. CancerChinese ancient diagnosis cannot detect cancer, which has existed since day one but nobody knew what it was until a few decades ago (just like AIDS). The patient should waste no time to get a scientific diagnosis in a Western hospital and follow their recommended treatment. After reviewing the hospitals diagnosis, the herbalist must rely on his reasoning to write an herbal prescription. The term cancer does not connect to the herbs directly. However, his reasoning will point to detoxification and strengthening to help the body recover. In this way, various kinds of herbs are available. See my video "Cancer Recovery".Joint PainsJoint pains are easy to detect by just asking questions. More serious cases involve swelling and deformity that are observable. If the herbalist limits his vision on pain only, he will also limit his choice for herbs. By employing his reasoning, the herbalist can point to blood circulation, bone and muscle strengthening to help the patient recover. This also opens a variety of herbs for use in the prescription. See my video "Joint Pains". Digestive DisorderThere is almost nothing observable for digestive disorder except some white coating on the tongue, which means many different things. The key is asking plenty of questions about the eating habit of the patient. Bad eating habit represents more than half of the problem, where the herbalist should advise a change for the better. Digestive disorder naturally points to the weakness of the digestive system. This leads to many different herbs for use in the prescription. See my video "Digestive Disorder".Menstrual IrregularitiesThis problem must have occurred for some time before the patient comes in. There is not much that can be observed except paleness (too much blood lost) or some pimples (menstrual delay). Again, asking plenty of questions is the key. The herbalists reasoning should point to blood nourishment, blood circulation, the sex organ, the kidneys, and various menstrual symptoms. All of these will easily connect to the right herbs to be used. See my video "Menstrual Irregularities". FertilityThis problem is unknowable without the patient coming forward and answering pertinent questions posed by the herbalist. Besides just relying on some herbs out there that are rumored to help fertility, the herbalist should use his reasoning to broaden the scope for improvement. This involves more herbs to strengthen the following: blood nutrition, blood circulation, the kidneys, and the sex organ. See my videos "Female Fertility" and "Male Sexual Potency".Liver, Kidneys and LungsYou dont need an herbalist to tell you whats wrong with your heart or stomach because you can feel the problem more or less. On the other hand, the liver, kidneys and lungs are what we call the less sensitive major organs. That means its not easy to feel what is wrong. This is not something to be scared about because those are strong organs which can survive even one half is taken out. On the other hand, it also raises the question that what the herbalist says cannot be verified. Liver problems are observable by energy level and yellowish color of the eyes or skin. Kidney problems cannot be seen except by questioning about urination and sexual activities. Lung problems more or less show themselves by cough or shortness of breath. In any case, there exist plenty of herbs that can act on these three major organs once the herbalist identifies which one.Gallbladder, Spleen, Urine BladderThese small organs are even harder to detect and verify when a problem arises. None of them connect to the herbs directly. The key is to know their functions in the body. The gallbladder contains bile that helps the liver to digest fat. So liver herbs will help the gallbladder. The spleen stores blood and helps with blood functions. So blood herbs will help the spleen. The urine bladder stores urine and is associated with kidney functions. So kidney herbs will help the urine bladder. Please go to www.herbsandtea.com for further information.Raw herbs and herbal capsules can be tailor-made to suit your needs.
